The Lord cares for you and wants to provide His comfort when you are experiencing the loss of a loved one. The Lord our God promises to be with you through whatever you are experiencing and know that He is with you to carry you step by step and day by day. So rest in His loving care and presence.
Scripture Verses for Meditation
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I Go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign of every epistle; so I write, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)
“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring Him those who sleep in Jesus. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:14, 16-18)
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to know that You are there for me. I rejoice in knowing that one day You shall return to receive me unto yourself. I know that my loved ones in Christ are with the You in paradise. It gives me great pleasure to realize that Your Word will never return to you empty, but it will always accomplish what You desire, and it will achieve the purposes you have in mind. O Lord, I can rest in You knowing all is well and that I am always in Your loving care. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
