Winter’s First of the New Year Testimonies
Hello 2025! The National Association of American Veterans (NAAV), Inc., is excited to step into a new year of change and exploration with you. Last year took us through time, transition, and preservation. This year it seems we have hit the ground running.
- Winter Break Through:
It is our sincere joy to walk into this new year’s season of refreshing and renewal with you and ring in the most recent happenings and NAAV testimonies since the doors of 2025 have opened. The past three months, Jan-Mar 2025, have not ceased to stop revolving for our veterans and their family members in need of assistance and NAAV has not ceased from swing open all of our available resources to fill the voids and meet the needs of those reaching out.
Every year, especially in the beginning of a season, brings a flood of petitions from financial, utilities, to medical and assistance with filing new documents. Everywhere we turn, veterans are reaching out and waiting. Here are a few of the returns on NAAV’s investments made on behalf and in part by your generous support, prayers, and donations.
Let’s keep it alive in 2025:
Meeting a New Year’s First Quarter Request:
- My Home Sweet Home– Saved from Foreclosure (March 2025)
“First and foremost, I want to give a huge shout out to Constance Burns, Founder, President, and CEO of Veterans Service Organization/Veterans Advocate with the National Association of American Veterans, Inc. This woman has helped with a snap of her fingers, whereas other veteran resources or assistance has taken months to years to even get around to acknowledging my struggles. She is my hero for taking the time to care and listen to me and what I am going through. She helped me by paying my late payment for my mortgage that fell behind due to financial struggles. Not only did she help me with my home, she is helping me with reaching out to find Mental health services outside the VA since the VA has dropped the ball on my health and blamed me for my problems. I’m the type of person who would give everything away to help someone else not suffer, but here I was, not getting the same help in return. Constance, I don’t know what I would have done without you and your amazing heart and spirit. Because I was helped, I can now take this positive energy and help others as she has done for me. Since this is my first home and you helped me keep it, I can now sleep at night knowing tomorrow will be a better day, not only for me but also for my pets. Thank you for loving us!”

Overcoming the challenge—
In March 2025, NAAV sent a check to Charlie and Lisa High to cover food,
transportation, and glasses. We have given our resources and referrals
for dental bill and mortgager as well as making several calls on their
behalf to get financial support for other emergency needs in January,
February and March 2025.
Charlie High Jr., disabled U.S. Army veteran of Radcliff, Kentucky slipped and fell in front of his home in January 2025 and sustained injury to his face and mouth which resulting in a dental expense for having about 26 of his teeth removed. His mortgage is still due, and their funds are low.
