God’s Plan: Part I
The Lord our God is in control of the end times and the future. The Lord controls the ultimate fulfillment of time and has sovereign control to bring His promises to pass. Only the Lord knows the exact times and seasons for His fulfillment (Acts 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:1).
Isaiah 37:26 and Titus 1:3 says the Lord promised that what He said generations ago would be fulfilled. The Bible says that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is one God that exist eternally (Exodus 3:14; Psalm 90:2; Revelation 4; 15:7; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-3, 14, 18; Hebrews 13:8).
On the other hand, those not born of the water and of the Spirit will face an eternity in punishment. Those born of the water and of the Spirit will live eternally with the Lord our God in His kingdom (Daniel 7:18; 27; Revelation 22:5). The born-again believers who now live in time and space will live eternally. The Lord our God who is eternal will eliminate time and space and those in Christ will have an eternal relationship with the Lord our God forever.
The Lord Jesus Christ is coming again for His bride the Church without spots or wrinkles. For He says, “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 8:18). The question is not answered by the Lord for He leaves it as an open question. There is no doubt regarding the faithfulness of the Son of Man. The Lord Jesus Christ will return for the body of Christ “The Church” and this rest upon the sovereign Word of God.
The article titled “The Rapture is at the Door!! Are You Ready?” gives a resounding alarm to watch and pray for the Lord’s return in the air for His bride “The Church” is near. (See “Moments of Meditation” on our website at https://www.naavets.org posted July 2018 and June 2023 for a review.) Will He find us watching and praying upon His return in the air. True prayer is confidence, faith, and trust in God … that is fasting, praying, and rejoicing instead of complaining. Sincere prayer from the heart should bring one to a better understanding of the heart of God the Father. A relationship with our heavenly Father cannot exist without communication through prayer. Prayer is a necessity in the exchange of one’s heart with God the Father. We can always come to our heavenly Father expressing our hurts, disappointments, joys, moods, failures, triumphs, challenges, and deepest needs. A faith-based relationship with God the Father is based on the various expressions mentioned above. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for corrections, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3: 16-17)
Scripture Verses for Meditation About the Rapture and the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ
Ephesians 3:8-11 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 To me, who am less than the least of all saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 And to make all see what the fellowship of the mystery is, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;
10 To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in heavenly places,
11 According to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord:
1 Corinthians 15:50-53 New King James Version (NKJV) – The Rapture
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

John 14:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
1 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I will go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive (rapture) you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Romans 8:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
1 Corinthians 1:7-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 So that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
8 Who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 New King James Version (NKJV)
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed –
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Philippians 3:20-21 New King James Version (NKJV)

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will no means precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first:
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

28 So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
James 5:7-9 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 Therefore, be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance.
1 Peter 5:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of glory that does not fade away.
1 John 2:28-29; 3:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)

29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us.

Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ Scripture Verses
Daniel 2:44-45 New King James Version (NKJV)
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold – the great God has made known to the king what will happen after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.
Acts 1:9-11 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,
11 Who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.
Daniel 7:9-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire.
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.
11 I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.
12 As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
13 I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.
14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.
Acts 3:19-21 New King James Version (NKJV)
19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
20 And that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
Daniel 12:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
1 And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.
Zechariah 12:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
10 And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplication; then they will look upon Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
Zechariah 14:1-15 New King James Version (NKJV)
1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, and your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; and the city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south.
5 Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, for the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus, the LORD my God will come, and all the saints with You.
6 It shall happen on that day that there will be no light; the lights will diminish.
7 It shall be one day which is known as the LORD – neither day nor night. But at evening time it shall happen that it will be light.
8 And on that day, it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; in both summer and winter it shall occur.
9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be – “The LORD is one,” and His name one.
10 All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate, and the Corner Gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.
11 The people shall dwell in it, and no longer shall there be utter destruction, but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.
13 And it shall come to pass on that day that a great panic from the LORD will be among them. Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor, and raise his against his neighbor’s hand;
14 Judah also will fight at Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be gathered together; gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance.
15 Such also shall be the plague on the horse and the mule, on the camel and the donkey, and on the cattle that will be in those camps. So shall this plague be.
Matthew 13:41-42 New King James Version (NKJV)
41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend,
42 And those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire.
Matthew 24:15-31 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Great Tribulation
15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whosoever reads, let him understand),
16 Then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains.
17 Let him who is on the house top not go down to take anything out of his house.
18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There! do not believe it.’
24 For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 26:64 New King James Version (NKJV)
64 Jesus said to him, ‘It is as you said, Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.’
Mark 13:14-27 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Great Tribulation
14 So when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains.
15 Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.
16 And let him that is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
17 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
18 And pray that your flight may not be in winter.
19 For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.
20 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.
21 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look,’ here is Christ! or, ‘Look,’ He is there! Do not believe it:
22 For false Christs and false prophets will rise and shall signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
23 But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light.
25 The stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in heavens will be shaken.
26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then He will send his angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of the earth to the farthest part of heaven.

Luke 21:25-28 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Coming of the Son of Man
25 And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.
26 Men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your head, because your redemption draws near.

2 Peter 3:1-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
God’s Promise Is Not Slack
1 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),
2 That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,
3 Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” after their own lusts,
4 And saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water,
6 By which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.
Jude New King James Version (NKJV)
Apostates Depraved and Doomed
14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousand of His saints,
15 To execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

2 Thessalonians 1:6-12 New King James Version (NKJV)
To the Church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
6 Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you.
7 And to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
10 When He comes, on that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.
11 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power,
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Suffering for God’s Glory
12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
13 But rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
Revelation 19:11-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
Christ on a White Horse
11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.
13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. and on his thigh a name written: King OF Kings, And Lord OF Lords.
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God,
18 That you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

The Rapture of the Church
16 The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 New King James Version (NKJV)
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but shall all be changed –
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
John 14:2-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive (rapture) you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also.
Revelation 22:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Time Is Near
7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
20 He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus!’”
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

In closing, what is prayer all about? Prayer is all about fellowship with God the Father. Prayer is an expression of a living faith relationship with our Heavenly Father who loves us. Without prayer, which is talking to God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ how can we communicate with Him? The purpose of praying through faith is to bring one into a one-on-one, personal touch with God the Father through the Lord’s teaching on how to pray.
It is hoped that the Scripture Verses about the Rapture and the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will help you to focus more on prayer and spending quality time during your journey on earth creating a personal relationship with the Lord our God. Prayer:
Heavenly Father, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ regarding the rapture in the air for His bride “The Church” and His coming with His saints have made us more aware of the importance of prayer in such a time as this. Father, we cry out to You now during our times of great challenges and hardships to help us to be more aware of our lack of faith and trust in our lives. Father, help us where we are weak and teach us to fast and pray. Help us to depend on You every day for our daily needs. Help us to seek You and Your kingdom with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength daily. Father, we know that You care and love us and will answer us according to Your divine will about all things. In the Lord Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
