Reading God’s Word in the Bible

The Bible says, “All Scripture is God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16). The Scripture verses presented in the Bible are God inspired. We are human beings made in God’s image to praise, honor, and obey Him. Psalm 119:137-138 states: “You are righteous, LORD, and Your laws are right. The statues You have laid down are righteous; they are fully trustworthy.” God’s Word reflect His holiness and it is our standard by which we measure everything in life. The Lord Jesus Christ in speaking about God’s law said, “Until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished” (Matthew 5:18).

Reading your Bible and memorizing Scripture verses by writing them out on post cards and stating them several times a day can change your life! Learn how to share your Scripture verses with others about salvation (Matthew 18:11; Matthew 16:26;; John 3:5,6, 16); confession and forgiveness (1 John 1:9); God as the Word (John 1:1-2); temptation (1 Matthew 20:28Corinthians 10:13); Walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-18); God’s strength (Ephesian 6:10-11); Prayer (Matthew 7:7-11; 18: 19-20); and The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Scripture Verses:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:9)

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

“Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him.” (Psalm 37:7)

“And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” (Galatians 5:16-18)

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:10-11)

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and in earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to always be faithful and true in my commitment to You and Your plan of salvation for my life. You are my strength and my protector. When I am afraid, You deliver me. Let me turn to You, Lord, when I am weak and afraid. In times of adversity, let me trust Your perfect and complete will, Lord, and whatever my circumstances, let me always look to You for my strength and salvation. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

All Scripture verses are taken from the New King James Version of the Bible.
