Our Lord Jesus Christ Speaks: Part II

There is a message to learn from our Lord Jesus Christ Speaks about salvation, prayer, His invitational call, eternal life and abiding in Him. He also speaks about the reason why He came to earth as the Lamb of God … the only Son of God who lived among us for a short time; gave His life to make us right with God, was raised from the dead; was seen by hundreds in His glorified body; and returned to God the Father and our Father as the Great High Priest and intercessor. The Lord is building His church, and He is getting ready to return for His bride the church. This is the same Lord Jesus Christ who invites you and me, right now, to come and join Him in His plans for the world.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to give us hope when He became the Lamb of God (John 1:1). The cross of Jesus Christ is our salvation. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Walking with the Lord will transform your life and give you His love, joy, faith, patience, temperance, peace and purpose in this life. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

On the cross the Lord shed His blood, and when we carry our cross, we release our sin. Walking with the Lord will transform your life and give you, His love. In the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have a great responsibility to repent and commit our lives to following Him our Lord and our God. It is hoped that Our Lord Jesus Christ Speaks will help you in your daily life, help you develop a hunger for the Word of God, and that you will find serenity unmatched by anything the world can offer.

About Salvation

“For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.” (Matthew 18:11)

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:5-8)

About Prayer

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7)

“And on that day, you will as Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” (John 16:23, 24)

“So, I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a sone ask for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts, to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:9-13)

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.” (Luke 11:2-4)

“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:22)

About Eternal Life

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24)

“Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word, he shall never see death.” (John 8:51)

“Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” (John 6:27)

“He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” (John 12:25)

“And this is eternal life hat they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27-28)

About His Invitation to All

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” (John 6:37)

About Abiding in Him

“Abide in Me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 16:4, 5, 7)

About Bearing Fruit

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit: so, you will be My disciples.”

(John 15:8)

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that He may bear more fruit.” (John 15: 1,2 see also John 15:4, 5)

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” (John 15:16)

About His Second Coming and the Rapture

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed – in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed, For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)

“Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:44)

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

And Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many.” (Mark 13:5-6)

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.” (Mark 13:32-33)

“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of the earth to the farthest part of heaven.” (Mark 13:24-27)

“I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)

“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38)

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world : for I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”

(Matthew 25:31-36)

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Prayer:

O Lord my God, in You do I put my trust. Trusting You fills me with indescribable happiness and a deep, abiding joy fills my soul. It is my heart’s desire to trust in You always and to do good. I will delight myself in You, O Lord my God for I know that You will give me the desires of my heart. Lord, thank You for Your many promises and faithfulness to me. Knowing these truths encourages me to rest in You. Your Word gives me faith to trust in You with all my heart and not to lean on my own understanding. O Lord, I will keep Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You in my words, thoughts, deeds or actions. In the Lord Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
