“The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and life.” (John 6:63) The Lord also said that heaven and earth shall pass away, but His words shall not pass away. There is more to learn from our Lord Jesus Christ Speaks about compassion, rewards, his cross, the good news, and discipleship. We pray that these scripture verses will give you comfort and hope as you reflect upon the words and promises of God.
About Compassion
When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother. ~ Luke 7:13-15
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” ~ Matthew 7:11
About Discipleship
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide I My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” ~ John 8: 31-21
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.” ~ Luke 14:26-27, 33
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” ~ John 13:34-35

When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. ~ John 19: 26-27
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” ~ Matthew 27:46
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. ~ John 19:28-30
And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last. ~ Luke 23:46
