God created human beings to bring Him glory (Isaiah 43:6-7; 1 Corinthians 10:31). Anyone who seeks His own glory, as Adam and Eve did, sins against God and his subject to God’s judgement (Acts 12:20-23). All things happen according to God’s plan and serve to glorify Him. (Ephesians 1:11-12) Every culture has sinned against God. Man having been created in God’s image and yet having chosen to break free from trusting submission to Him, Adam rebelled, and through him sin entered the world (Romans 5:12-14). All human beings continue to bear the image of God in some sense (Genesis 9:5-6), though we are now marred by sin.
God send His only begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son who was God in the flesh to offer His plan of salvation to all humanity. (John 3:16-17, John 1, 14, Acts 4:12; Acts 16:30-31).
The Holy Bible has many Scripture verses that talk about salvation. The following Scripture verses are some key ones that convey the message of faith, hope, and love that encapture the gospel message of Jesus Christ regarding God’s plan of salvation for humanity.
God’s Plan of Salvation Scripture Verses for Meditation
The Gospel News
“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you – unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that the was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
Justification and Redemption
“Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” (Romans 3:24-26)
Sanctification
“That no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God – and righteousness, sanctification, and redemption – that, as it is written, He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” (1 Corinthians 1:29-31)
Forgiven
“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” (Colossians 2:13-14)
Sealed by the Holy Spirit
“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body – whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free – and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:13)
Glorified
“And if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” (Romans 8:17)
Indwelt by the Holy Spirit
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in You? Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought, at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20)
Imputed Righteousness or Clothed in Righteousness
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.” (Romans 1:18)
“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” (Isaiah 61:10)
New Creation by Grace Through Faith
“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all one conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:1-9)
Adoption – Joint Heirs
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.” (Romans 8:14, 16-17a)
Translated and Delivered from the Power
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us unto the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13-14)
Be Reconciled to God
“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and had given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
Eternal Life by Grace Through Faith
“Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches in His grace His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:5-7)
“Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
These Scripture verses from the Holy Bible emphasize that salvation is a gift from God, obtained through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is not something that can be earned through deeds or works. It is important to know that interpretations can vary among different denominations and individuals. For a deeper understanding, you may want to go to God in prayer and ask for wisdom, knowledge and understanding in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I confess that I have not lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again from the dead. I now turn away from my sins and ask You to Forgive me.

Thank You for Your love and mercy. Thank You for the gift of salvation and the promise of eternal life. Help me to live for You and serve You all the days of my life.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
