First Corinthians 15:58 says, “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” God provides for those who abide in Him. For He says, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Even though you may have problems in this life, you can experience God’s perfect peace in every situation you may encounter. Always remember not to focus on the problem, but put your faith and trust in God. He is the true source of our strength.
We often forget that we are weak, fragile and dependent creatures who are in the midst of spiritual warfare that we cannot win in our own strength. In Matthews 24:4-8 Jesus says,
“Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” These scripture verses makes it clear that we are living in the last days and that things will get worse.
