The Lord God has given us the Holy Bible a priceless gift filled with His promises to help us with every area of our life on earth. Let’s trust God’s promises as a guide for our journey to our heavenly home and for His gift of eternal life to all who repent, believe and accept the Lord as our Savior and Redeemer.
You can start by spending time each day reading the promises and prayers in the Holy Bible to guide you on our journey and change the direction and quality of your life. As you began to trust and obey the Creator, then you will learn that God always keep His promises. Read and study seven ways the Holy Bible helps us to know and love God. God is love.
- The Scriptures give us spiritual insight.
“I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.
(Psalm 119:30)
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” (James 1:2-3)
- The Scriptures give us guidance.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
- The Scriptures produce faith in us.
“So, then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
- The Scriptures help us face temptation.
“Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”
(Psalm 119:11)
- The Scriptures teach us wisdom and equip us for life.
“But you must continue in the things which your have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, the man of God may be complete, thoroughly ewui9pped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:14-17)
- The Scriptures are a mirror to our soul.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
- The Scriptures nourish us.
“Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all speaking, as new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” (1 Peter 2:1-2)
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the Holy Bible that helps anyone who wants to know who You are and how we are to live in a way that pleases You. Thank You for wanting a one on one Father relationship with us. The information presented in this lesson tell us many ways to study the Bible with the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Your Word greatly strengthen our faith and trust in You and knowledge of Your ways and all that is means to be in Jesus Christ. For God we know that “there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1) and that “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36). In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
