Although we may be alone or in the midst of turmoil, we are not forgotten – not by the LORD our God. He knows our situations, the dangers and uncertainties we face daily, and He has provided promises and encouragement that we can stand on – such as His peace, strength, security and more. God’s promises are His gifts to us through His Son Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, may the Scripture verses presented below become a source of guidance and comfort to you and remind you of all God’s gifts to you.
Scripture Verses for Mediation:
JOY
“Weeping my endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5b)
“As the Father love Me; I also have loved you; abide in My love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, that your joy may be full.” (John 15:9, 11)
“Then he said, ‘Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.’” (Nehemiah 8:10)
PEACE
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’” (Isaiah 9:6)
“… to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Romans 8:6)
SECURITY
“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” (Psalm 139:7)
“Through I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.” (Psalm 138:7)
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber, behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.” (Psalm 121)
HOPE
“So, let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16,17)
“Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.” (Psalm 33:20)
STRENGTH
“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” (Isaiah 40:29)
“I will say to the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust. Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall over you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” (Psalm 91:2-11;14-16)
GRACE
“… For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:23,24)
God saved us. “… not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He (God) saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the
Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5)
COMFORT
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” (Psalm 23:1,4,6)
2
FAITH

Prayer:
Lord God, help me to give my daily stress, worries, and senseless squabbles to You in prayer. Give me Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Lord God, I give You all those things that drive out my peace and I hand them all over to You. I will take comfort in the peace only you can give me now and forever. In the Lord Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
