A Season’s End to Begin Again
The National Association of American Veterans, Inc. (NAAV) is ending its 2019 season thankful and grateful to have completed its mission supporting Veterans and their family members. This December we not only celebrate a season of giving—remembering the greatest gift from God of His only begotten Son to all mankind—but also, the rewarding gift of caring for those who gave so much to their country and fellowmen.
A few highlights from the final months of this 2019 winter season are shared below:
Joshua Travis of Lawrenceville, Georgia received financial assistance from NAAV and in return offered his helping hand to serve NAAV at any events or social functions in the Lawrenceville area… to quote Mr. Travis said, “I would love to be here for it.”
Grateful for your assistance NAAV provided in the form of financial assistance, groceries, and the purchase of Christmas gifts for Sergeant Justin Richardson, a retired United States Marine and his wife Christy and family.
Marine Sgt. Richardson – served as squad leader for his platoon during Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah, Iraq where he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with combat valor among other prestigious awards.
NAAV also kept the Richardson’s only car from being repossessed in November 2019.
Helping the Richardson’s was truly a thanksgiving—giving back moment and the gifts provided during the Christmas holiday was like hearing the happy announcement from angels or Wisemen not concerned about the length of journey to see and bear bare gifts for the new born King.
Mrs. Christy Richardson brings good tidings back to NAAV for the support they received:
“You guys are the best, I can never thank you enough. Obviously not this year, but I hope in the future to be able to help someone else the way you and Ashley have helped my family and pay it forward. My kids are going to have a great Christmas and that’s all I want is for them to be happy and I know that’s not just from material things but having the stress of making Christmas special taken off me and my husband will allow us to really enjoy the season and be excited for the kids because they are all VERY excited. I will definitely let you know when it arrives.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Merry Christmas to you I hope you get to have a nice break from all your work.”

NAAV intervenes to help a Veteran secure a telephone interview over the Thanksgiving holiday; thankful for the opportunity, he sends this message:
“Good Morning Ms. Teresa Thompson,
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I just want to
take this opportunity to thank you and the team for conducting a phone interview that I was considered for. I greatly appreciate the opportunity.”
Very Respectfully,
Dwayne Summage
