When you are facing challenges in your life do you have difficulties claiming God’s promises? Every challenge that you faced in life is an opportunity for you to trust God and depend on His promises. When King David faced a serious problem, he prayed to God and repented of His sins. Read Psalm 51 and revisit the course he took acknowledging he had a problem and needed God’s forgiveness. You can pray this prayer when you face a challenge. It is during our trials and tribulations that we can get to know the LORD our God.
As believers, we should study the Bible daily and mediate on God’s will for our lives. God’s promises never fail. We can place our trust in His promises and share them with others He sends our way. “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.” (Proverbs 30:5) Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Scripture Verses for Mediation
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the
world-our faith.” (1 John 5:4)
Prayer:
Lord, Your Scripture is a light unto the world; help me to study, trust it, and share it with all who cross by path. Help me to be a worthy witness for You as I share the Good News about your love, mercy and grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
All Scripture quotations are taken from the New King James Version of the Bible.
